Advisory

Advisory is offered on most Fridays during the school year.  When offered, advisory sessions are in between second and third periods (9:28 - 10:00 a.m.).  Students have one advisory teacher for the four years they attend SHS.  The advisory class is where staff cover required trainings, such as harassment, student handbook, drills, and more.  Advisory is also meant to be a time for team building, collaboration, and career explorations.  Students who are full-time and those who have morning classes are assigned an advisory period.

*Personalized pathway information and high school and beyond plans are also covered in advisory and are part of the state high school graduation requirements.
